Read beyond the limited edition label
A limited edition may change the perfume, its bottle, its box or simply the available size. Read the official description to establish what is actually different. Special decoration does not imply a new composition; conversely, a variation with a familiar name can have a noticeably different olfactory balance from the original fragrance.
Decide without following a countdown
Where testing is possible, compare the special edition with the regular version before choosing. Ask whether future supply or a compatible refill is planned, without assuming either will be available. If the bottle mainly appeals as an object, treat that preference separately from your assessment of the fragrance and your available budget.
