A prestigious material cannot judge the whole formula
The quality of a raw material depends on characteristics suited to the perfumer’s project, not simply its price or natural origin. A plant extract and a synthetic material can serve complementary purposes. Ask what an ingredient contributes to the composition rather than counting the names of materials described as rare or precious.
Connect provenance with the sensory result
Information about cultivation, processing and suppliers can inform a choice when it is specific and connected to the relevant product. It does not replace smelling the fragrance. Compare the house’s documentation with the texture you perceive; a fine material becomes meaningful within a coherent composition that you actually find enjoyable.
