Boldness can come from an unexpected idea
A bold fragrance is not necessarily the most powerful one. It may pair a familiar flower with leather, contrast gourmand softness with a dark material or offer an unusual texture. Identify what intrigues you about that contrast: strangeness alone does not make a perfume enjoyable or rewarding to wear over time.
Become familiar with a distinctive statement
Begin with a measured application and let the composition develop somewhere you feel comfortable. A striking accord may need several encounters before becoming familiar. Keep the freedom to reject it, however: wearing an assertive perfume should express your taste rather than oblige you to tolerate a sensation that you find unpleasant.
